This is a screencap redraw challenge of the famous scene from Perfect Blue (my personal favorite anime). This was done with Sakura Micron pens and Arteza alcohol based illustration markers.

Fanart of Scissor Woman (based on the Japanese tale of Kuchisake-Onna), from the amazing game World of Horror (non-affiliate link). I really love this game and recommend it to anyone who's a fan of cosmic horror or point-and-click adventures.
Done with red and black Sakura Micron pens, and some additional coloring done in Clip Studio Paint. I had just finished The Reddening by Adam Nevill, and I was really drawn to drawing one of the elder red people. I did the lineart with Sakura Micron pens, and the coloring was one of the first pieces I did in Clip Studio Paint.
I thought they were cute, and still do.
This, I think was my first piece entirely colored in Clip Studio Paint. Lineart done with Sakura Micron pens. One of the first pieces that I shared online, because it was such a monster to finish!
I really wanted to do a quick chibi of these two, because they're delightful and I loved their dynamic. but I tried using Arteza markers on a paper someone had recommended me - and it made the colors extremely light and not true to what I'd meant. So I scanned it in and started trying to color it in Krita - which crashed under the weight of trying to save it. So then I bought Clip Studio Paint, and during a painstaking process that I would never use today, started re-coloring and re-drawing over lines that hadn't scanned in well at all. |
